Blog EntryPaulo Clemente is DeadFeb 26, '08 11:03 AM
for everyone
Singer, Host & Event Coordinator Paulo Clemente died of Heart Attack.

I got this message thru text at around 11pm and you can bet how shocked i was.  I was sad not only because of the loss of such great talent (I enjoyed reading his funny hirits in his emails in our weddings at work suppliers directory group) but also because i failed to connect with him before he left.

Last bridal fair, i was being prompted to talk to him, to fix an unsettled issue between him and another supplier.  Thinking i would always have the chance to do so "Tomorrow" i set it aside.  Until i got the news today.

I honestly don't know the real paulo, i only know him externally, from what he wants me to think of him. We've worked several times, we do chat quite a lot. I did get a lot of promotions and praises from him specially in  the last W@W christmas party.  I remember him saying "If you guys remember the song Pagsubok, John was the composer of that" and one time after watching my slide show where i used the song I can only Imagine he said "Kaya pala yan ang song mo.. kasi I can only Imagine... Nation!".   They are hirits only Paulo can ever think of.

I got several texts for prayer request... Honestly i don't believe in praying for the dead. I believe when you die, its like God saying "Ok pass your papers".  Whatever right you did is right and whatever you did wrong is wrong. Like what i mentioned several months ago... only 2 questiosn will be asked of you.  1.  What did you do with my son Jesus?  did you accept him in your heart and 2.  How can you prove such acceptance?

I do believe in praying for those families who are left... I do believe in praying & hoping that throughout his lifetime, he was able to establish a relationship with God.

I write this blog, so people will be reminded that we are mere stewards in this world.. Nothing we own is truly ours.. Not our Time, not our talent and definitely not our money.  Eventually, we must leave this world in a time we probably least expect, just as this death of our fellow supplier shocked us, and we would need to leave everything behind. into this world we are born naked, and naked we will leave this world - Transients.. Thats what we are.

Gods message: Seek what is eternal.

Goodbye my friend Paulo.
